Nothing wrong with the manual or the retailer who sold it, my issue is with Amazon. Product discriptions are often too limited. In my case I have an 95 Audi A6 Quatro. The manual discription said, "Audi 100 and A6 (1991-97)". The Quatro is not covered in this manual but there was no way for me to know that. My search for the product included all the details, and although search engines have come a very long way, they are still not perfect. Fortunately the retailer accepts returns.
Well written like all Haynes manuals are, but does not include any information on the Quattro AWD system that many of these cars were sold with. The junk yard will probably be the next owner of this book.
Amazon's description of the manual is misleading. The manual does not cover Quattro or 2.8 L models. The discription said, "Audi 100 and A6 (1991-97)". The back cover of the manual, which is not presented by Amazon, specifically states that the manual "Does NOT cover V6 Petro engines or Quattro, S4 or S6 models."Get with it Amazon! Include improtant information on your products.
This book is only for the true mechanic specialist. The terminology for the layman is lost in this book. It does not address all models of the 1996 Audi A6. Don't waste your money because you have to take it to a mechanic to understand it! Plus the wait is too long to get this book.
